2019 NFL Week 3 Betting Previews: Ravens vs Chiefs, Texans vs Chargers

Are you ready for Week 3 of the NFL regular season?

Here’s a couple of football betting previews on two of the most exciting clashes on Week 3. Get a better overall idea of the NFL betting odds for these two games.

Ravens vs. Chiefs Betting Odds

The Ravens are visiting the Chiefs on September 2 for one of the most attractive games for the third week of the current official NFL regular-season schedule. The last time these two teams met was a year ago, also at Arrowhead Stadium, with a 27-24 win for the locals.

The Chiefs are coming from an impressive 28-10 road victory over the Raiders, and reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes was outstanding, throwing for 4 touchdowns during the second quarter of this Week 2 match.

The Ravens are also coming to this game with a fresh taste of victory as they managed to take down the Cardinals 23-17. The star player of this match for Baltimore was quarterback Lamar Jackson, who ran for a career-best 122 yards and also finished with two touchdowns.

When it comes to this Ravens at Chiefs match, this will be the real test for Mahomes against a Super-Bowl-caliber team this current season.

But his team will be playing at home, and judging by their regular-season record of last year at home (7-1), the Chiefs have an edge this time over the Ravens. These teams are proving to be two of the top franchises in the league, both with a two-game winning streak. Only one of them will be able to keep their undefeated status after week 3.

Texans vs. Chargers Betting Odds

The Texans are visiting Dignity Health Sports Park for their Week 3 match versus the Chargers on September 22.

Houston is coming from a tight 13-12 win over the Jaguars, and now hold a 1-1 record, and the team from LA is also 1-1 after losing their Week 2 game versus the Lions 13-10. The Chargers had an awful game versus Detroit, including two disqualified touchdowns due to penalties.

Philip Rivers threw for 293 yards, but he wasn’t able to throw any touchdown passes. And what’s worst: he had the win in his hands with just a minute remaining, but he threw an interception, and the game was pretty over after that play. The Chargers are the current favorites to get the win despite their loss versus the Lions.

When it comes to Houston, the team lost their Week 1 match versus the Saints by just two points. Deshaun Watson was impressive, finishing that match with 268 yards and throwing for three touchdowns.

Watson wasn’t nearly as good during Week 2 versus the Jags as he finished with 159 yards and no touchdowns. The Texans were barely able to get the win over Jacksonville, a team that was featuring a backup quarterback in Gardner Minshew.

This will be a very close game, and you can expect the wagering line on this match to continue to get even closer as the time of the game approaches.
