Bet on the Giants
Eli Manning and Odell Beckham did all they could against the Washington Redskins, but it still wasn’t enough to overcome and the game ended in a loss for the Giants, 29-26.
Regardless, it looks like the Giants will once again have to turn to their air attack against the Vikings considering that it’ll be difficult to take it to the ground against a Minnesota team that’s only allowing 3.4 yards per carry. Manning however has plenty of targets to choose from apart from Beckham and could turn to either Victor Cruz or Sterling Shepard to keep the Vikings defense off balance.
Bet on the Vikings
Led by Sam Bradford, the Vikings are on a 3-0 run that includes back-to-back victories over the Packers and the Panthers. Even without Adrian Peterson to shoulder part of the responsibility of driving the offense, Bradford has done well, in fact, completing 67.7 percent of his passes along with three touchdowns and no interceptions.
Bradford has been able to establish a good air attack, finding Stefon Diggs, Kyle Rudolph and Jerick McKinnon who have combined for 547 of the 846 total yards that Minnesota has acquired. The Vikings should however improve on third down conversions just to seal the deal against the Giants.
As for the defense, it’s been spectacular; overall, they’ve acquired 15 sacks, five interceptions and five forced fumbles only allowing less than 14 points per game. The front seven should be more than capable of cutting through the Giants’ offensive line and get to Manning fairly easily.
