Super Bowl LV: Chiefs vs. Buccaneers Odds and Preview

As Chiefs' elite TE Travis Kelce says, "You gotta fight, for the right, to PARTY!!!!" And after a draining, battling, but incredible season, it's time to see who reigns supreme when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs FIGHT, for the RIGHT, to the Lombardi trophy...

Alright, enough with the Kelce quotes, we're hyped already. Let's get to the match and the Super Bowl LV betting lines that we have just hours after defining our Big Sunday matchup.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Odds Preview

If you define the Bucs' season in a word, it has to be "rollercoaster." As soon as they acquired Brady, Tampa Bay became a top-five pick for the early Super Bowl betting odds. That's the TB12 effect. Then, his best friend -and partner in the gridiron, Rob Gronkowski, joined forces with Tom Terrific again. The hype was as big as it gets.

Then they acquired a few more pieces -as if they needed- in running back Leonard Fournette, fresh off a 1000 yards season, and wideout Antonio Brown. Sounds ridiculous, right? It was.

However, with no OTAs, no training camp, no preseason, and Brown yet to arrive, the Bucs started the season with an ugly loss to the Saints, only to bounce back and win three straight. After another month of mixed results, the Bucs got into a much needed Bye Week with two straight L's.

After the Bye, it all changed. Brady took over. Now, with a great defensive line, and a plethora of weapons on offense, they won three straight road games in the playoffs, but now, they are home at the Super Bowl, the first team ever to do so. Buccaneers' odds are at +3.5.

Kansas City Chiefs Odds Preview

You know you're levels above when you end up your season 14-2, and you didn't even play to the best of your abilities. You confirm that by being the first team ever to be a roadside in the Super Bowl and still be the favorite in the Super Bowl betting odds. It's as simple as that.

The best team in the NFL has made yet another trip to the Big Game. With practically the same roster, the Chiefs were the best offense in the whole league.

With the combination of Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, and the spectacular playcalling of Big Red, Andy Reid, the Chiefs cruised through every matchup they had. One of their losses was while resting the starting team in Week 17.

The Chiefs odds opened at -3.5, making them the favorites, meaning they were the favorites in all but two games in the whole season, talk about powerhouses. The Super Bowl betting odds say the Chiefs should win by four to collect the winnings.

Brady vs. Mahomes

One is the greatest ever, one is the best in the world right now. They've faced each other on four occasions, Brady won the first two, only for Mahomes to win the last two, in what is a fierce rivalry to this date.

Mahomes has only lost nine games, and two of them are against Brady. Also, the Chiefs QB is 6-1 in the playoffs. His only loss came against Brady, at Arrowhead, in the AFC Championship game of 2018, the year Mahomes was MVP.

These two are even, one is the GOAT, and the other is reaching his second Super Bowl in three seasons as a starter, so he is getting there.

Buccaneers vs. Chiefs Head to Head

Both franchises have little history between them. None come bigger than the Super Bowl LV, though. In 13 games, the Buccaneers lead the series with 7 wins, as the Chiefs trail just one behind with six victories. However, it's the Chiefs who beat the Bucs in Week 12.
