This team was originally from Vancouver, Canada, and was created during the 1995-96 season as an expansion franchise.
Then, after the 2000-2001 season, the team relocated to Memphis.
A couple of years later, Pau Gasol arrived in the team, and with his help, the Grizzlies managed to advance to the NBA playoffs three consecutive years but didn’t manage to make it to the NBA Finals.
The 2011 season proved very successful for this franchise, as the team was able to win their first playoffs series against the San Antonio Spurs 4 games to 2.
But, their hopes went to the drain when they faced the Oklahoma City Thunder during the Eastern Conference semifinals, getting defeated in seven games.
