The Open Championship 2019 Odds: Favorites to Win at Dunluce Links

After 68 years, pro golf is heading back to Northern Ireland, and this factor makes The Open Championship 2019 odds even more exciting.

The action will be taking place from July 18 to July 21 at Dunluce Links at Royal Portrush Golf Club, a course filled with striking scenery and a spectacular layout.

The Open Championship 2019 odds: The Favorites

Now, these are the British Open Golf betting odds favorites:

Brooks Koepka (7 to 1):

The number one golfer in the world, Koepka has been able to get victories at four of his previous nine majors, finishing as the runner-up in another two. Plus, his caddie is a local from Portrush!

So, he’s definitely the one with the best golf betting odds at Skybook to win this time around.

Rory McIlroy (8 to 1):

He’s a Northern Ireland native, and he shot a course-record 61 at Royal Portrush when he was just 16 years old.

Plus, he’s been the top golfer throughout 2019, acquiring eleven top 10’s in fourteen PGA Tour starts, including two wins.

With that said, if he doesn’t get this victory, his majors’ drought will extend to more than five years.

Tiger Woods (14 to 1):

He’s won 2 of his previous 8 official stroke-play starts, getting his fifth Masters title, and 15th major title overall this year.

But, he’s been taking many breaks between tournaments, and the experts believe this is a real reason for concern, which may prevent him from playing at his very best.

Dustin Johnson (14 to 1):

Johnson is currently ranked as the world number two. He’s been finishing as the runner-up at different events this year and even won the WGC-Mexico Championship.

With that said, his figures at the Open Championship hasn’t been all that positive, as his best finish was a pair of T-9’s in 2012 and 2016.

Francesco Molinari (20 to 1):

He’s the current British Open champion. Last year he was able to beat Tiger Woods, a feat that allowed him to win his first major championship.

Apart from that, he’s been reticent, with no top results this year so far.

And this lack of good performances has driven him to fall to position 51 in the world ranks.

Xander Schauffele (20 to 1):

He’s been putting up good numbers since he joined the PGA Tour back in 2016. In fact, he’s always finished in the top ten in half of his ten career major starts, and this includes 3 top-three finishes in his previous 5.

Jordan Spieth (25 to 1):

He’d been looking for a major win for almost two years and managed to get it after winning the US Open back in June.

And, according to those in the know, the slower greens at Dunluce Links can actually favor Spieth’s aggressive golfing style.

Tommy Fleetwood (25 to 1):

He possesses an amazing ball-striking ability, and with the heavy winds at Northern Ireland, this can be a seriously great asset to count with.

And he did amazingly well in 2018, but his performances this year have been quite poor, with his major achievement being a T-36.

As you can see, there are a few favorites, but only one of them will be able to lift the Claret Jug.  And, if you think you know the winner, try your luck with our current betting lines and register an account to place your bets!
