Betting on the Astros?

The Astros own the third-best record in the majors, as well as the top spot in the American League West. And, they’re also among the favorites to win the World Series. 

Behind a powerful offense with sluggers of the likes of Jose Altuve (.324), George Springer (seven homers, 13 RBIs) and Carlos Correa, Houston is averaging at least four runs per game. 

Dallas Keuchel  (3-0, 0.96 ERA) gets the nod tonight; in his last three starts, Keuchel gave up only one run and struck out seven batter in his last two. 

Betting on the Indians?

Cleveland is inching its way forward after a rough start. They’ve now won six of their previous seven games, with the loss on Sunday against Chicago. 

Cleveland is led on offense by Francisco Lindor, who is batting at .315 and also leads on home runs and hits. 

Josh Tomlin starts on the mound tonight and is 1-2 with a 11.68 ERA. Tomlin has allowed 16 earned runs in three starts this season, including a couple of home runs in a 10-4 home loss to the White Sox on April 13.

New York Yankees vs Boston Red Sox

Betting on the Yankees? 

After going on an eight-game winning streak that ended last Tuesday, the Yanks have been up and down last week. Their last game on Sunday, ended in a 2-1 loss against the Pittsburgh Pirates. 

However the Yankees offense is humming along;  Aaron Judge, Starlin Castro and Jacoby Ellsbury are all firing away with Judge picking up nine hits and three homers over his last seven games and Ellsbury and Castro combining for 20 hits and nine runs over the same span. 

Luis Severino heads to the mound tonight and is 1-1 with a 4.05 ERA. The right hander clocked back-to-back starts with double-digit strikeouts and just finished a career-best eight-inning outing against the White Sox last Tuesday.

Betting on the Red Sox?

Boston avoided the three-game sweep at the hands of the Orioles on Sunday and picked up a 6-2 victory. They’re now behind half a game from the Yankees in the AL East standings. 

Mookie Betts, Hanley Ramirez and Mitch Moreland all were producing, and rookie Andrew Benintendi plugged a career-high five hits in the win. Dustin Pedroia might be back in this game from injury;  the veteran has a lifetime average of .429 against New York’s Severino along with a homer and five RBIs.

Rick Porcello (1-2, 5.32 ERA) gets the nod tonight and hopes to continue his success after not surrendering a single run against the Blue Jays on Wednesday.
