Are you ready for some football? No, not that one -the American version.  I am speaking about real football or, as most Americans call it, “soccer”.  The one that fans all across the globe like to play, watch and wager on.  UEFA Champions league to be specific.
 
Here are a few interesting facts: Did you know the competition attracts an extensive television audience, not just in Europe, but throughout the world? The matches are broadcast in over 70 countries with commentaries in more than 40 languages each year. With an estimated audience of 109 million people, the 2009 Champions League final surpassed that year's Super Bowl (106 million viewers) for the first time, becoming the most-watched annual single sport event in the world. 
 
The UEFA Champions League comprises of three qualifying rounds, a play-off round, a group stage round and four knockout rounds.
 
The draw was held on December 16th and here are the upcoming matchups that start in February:

The beauty of the UEFA Champions league is the amount of superstars that play in this tournament.   With the likes of goal scorers Samuel Eto’o of Internazionale, who leads all scorers with seven goals, and Barcelona’s little dynamo Lionel Messi, who is second in the league with six goals, to the ever dangerous Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid.
