Betting on Juventus

Juventus cracked under the pressure of a relentless Real Madrid onslaught. The Italians were unable to defend their arc from a Cristiano Ronaldo whose sense for finding goals and scoring opportunities are at maximum level.

It doesn’t help that Juventus will be without their top-scorer, Paulo Dybala, who will miss the match after being ejected from the first game with two yellow cards shown at Juventus Stadium.

Striker teammate Gonzalo Higuain also struggled in the previous game and was stopped cold by Keylor Navas’ catlike reflexes.

Clearly, the Italians find themselves against a hard wall at 3 goals behind; however, though it is very unlikely, Juventus is the type of team that by not giving up could win at the final whistle.

No team has ever overturned a 3-0 deficit home defeat in the Champions League

Betting on Real Madrid

Real Madrid has a firm grasp on the Champions League semifinals after its 3-0 result in the first leg.

Nevertheless, though the win gives them confidence Coach Zinedine Zidane remains wary fully aware of how quickly things can change as the game is played.

"The 0-3 result will not change things for us. It's another game and what happened, happened.” Zidance commented. “It was a good game, but there is still 50 percent of the tie to be played.”

Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo has found top form in anticipation of the 2018 World Cup, perhaps, but always impressive. Ronaldo shocked the stadium and received ovations from Juventus’ fans after scoring with a historic bicycle kick.

Marcelo added the final nail in the coffin with a third goal. Real Madrid looks towards its eight consecutive last-four spots and has the possibility of winning the UEFA Champions for a third consecutive time, a first in Europe’s most elite football competition.

Sergio Ramos will be absent due to an accumulation of yellow cards while center back Nacho Fernandez and Jesus Vallejo are questionable.

Game Prediction: Anything can happen in football. A fact proved by Barcelona’s loss to Roma that led to an early ousting from the tournament. But, it’s also hard to believe Juventus winning or, rather, Madrid not winning.

But, without Dybala and struggling Higuain, I don’t see many scoring opportunities for Juventus. And, I do see more than a fistful of Real Madrid players, including Isco, Asencio, Marcelo, Benzema, and, of course, Ronaldo scoring.

Final Score: Real Madrid wins 2-1
