Quarterback Derek Carr had another great performance against the Tennessee Titans that ended in victory, 17-10, on Sunday. Carr completed 21 of 35 passes for a total of 249 yards and a touchdown in that game.

However, the Raiders should be wary of the Ravens’ defense. If the offensive line cannot provide Carr with adequate protection, it’ll be a long day and might mean the game. They could turn to the ground but it’ll mean more pressure on Latavius Murray to find the end zone.

The Raiders defense also took a lead from the offense and finally kicked into gear in that game; they’re going to need another great performance against the Ravens if they want to win the game.

Bet on the Ravens

Placekicker Justin Tucker is bringing home the bacon for the Ravens. 13 of the 19 points scored against the Jaguars on Sunday were scored by Tucker, including a 54-yard field goal in the fourth with less than two minutes left on the clock.

Quarterback Joe Flacco didn’t fare as well, struggling to get a rhythm going and finishing with only 214 passing yards in the game against the Jaguars. Flacco is a great quarterback however and should be able to pick himself up against the Raiders, especially considering how weak Oakland’s pass defense is.

Betting Trends

  • Oakland is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games on the road
  • Oakland is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games on the road
  • Oakland is 7-18 SU in its last 25 games on the road
  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Oakland's last 6 games on the road
  • Baltimore is 10-2 SU in its last 12 games when playing Oakland
  • Baltimore is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games when playing at home against Oakland
  • Baltimore is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games when playing at home against Oakland

Game Predictions: Flacco will light up the scoreboard. Expect a Baltimore win and cover.

New Orleans Saints vs. San Diego Chargers

  • Time: Sunday, October 02, 2016 4:25 PM ET
  • Place: Qualcomm Stadium
  • Betting Line: Chargers -4
  • Total: 53.5

Bet on the Saints

The Saints’ defense didn’t hold the fort down and paid dearly, losing to the Atlanta Falcons at the Superdome on Monday Night Football. Atlanta stuck the run defense with 217 rushing yards and a grand total of 442 yards which doesn’t really bode well for New Orleans considering the Chargers’ rushing offense is just as good, or perhaps better, than that of the Falcons.

In order for the Saints to win, Drew Brees will once again have to come up big time to produce on offense. The Saints’ star quarterback ended with 376 passing yards and three touchdowns with only one interception. And, against the Chargers, Brees will have both wide receiver Willie Snead and tight end Coby Fleener as viable targets for his air attack.

Bet on the Chargers

The Chargers also need to get back on track after losing to the Indianapolis Colts, 26-22, on Sunday. Though San Diego’s ranks are missing many key players due to injuries, quarterback Phillip Rivers actually managed to keep it together and finished with 330 yards on 26 of 29 completed passes.

And, even with Keenan Allen, Danny Woodhead and Antonio Gates missing out the game against the Saints, based on New Orleans’ deficient defense, Rivers and the Chargers’ offense could have another big day.

Betting Trends

  • New Orleans is 3-8 SU in its last 11 games
  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of New Orleans's last 6 games
  • New Orleans is 4-2 ATS in its last 6 games on the road
  • New Orleans is 3-6 SU in its last 9 games on the road
  • San Diego is 2-5 SU in its last 7 games at home
  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of San Diego's last 5 games at home
  • The total has gone OVER in 7 of San Diego's last 8 games when playing New Orleans

Game Predictions: The Saints managed to scratch a win, upsetting the Chargers. Take New Orleans to win.

Denver Broncos vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • Time: Sunday, October 02, 2016 4:05 PM ET
  • Place: Raymond James Stadium
  • Betting Line: Broncos -3
  • Total: 43

Bet on the Broncos

Whatever doubts Broncos’ fans had of quarterback Trevor Siemian, they should have disappeared based on how he played against the Bengals. Siemian led the Broncos to a 29-17 victory in an exceptional performance that saw him gain 300 yards with four touchdown passes.

It’s the first time an NFL quarterback puts up such a performance with those numbers in a first career road start and the first quarterback since the famed Peyton Manning was at the helm. All this bodes well for Denver’s next game against the Buccaneers, that don’t really have a strong defense. Siemian will be looking to connect with Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas, his favorite targets, to do heavy damage via the air.

Of course, Denver will also count on its defense to get Siemian on the field quickly. The Buccaneers will have a long day if the Broncos’ D plays as expected.

Bet on the Buccaneers

The Buccaneers are on a two-game losing streak with the most recent defeat against the Rams; however, it’s through no fault of Jameis Winston, who despite the loss gave an all-out effort that produced 405 yards and three touchdowns though with one interception that led to a Rams’ touchdowns.

Winston cannot afford himself these mistakes against his next opponent, the Denver Broncos. But, this will be hard to avoid considering how good the Broncos defense is. Winston will have to pull out all the stops and be perfect if he’s to lead the Bucs to victory.

Betting Trends

  • Denver is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games
  • Denver is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games
  • Denver is 2-2-2 ATS in its last 6 games on the road
  • Denver is 7-2 SU in its last 9 games on the road
  • Tampa Bay is 4-1-1 ATS in its last 6 games when playing Denver
  • Tampa Bay is 1-4 SU in its last 5 games when playing Denver
  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Tampa Bay's last 6 games when playing Denver

Game Predictions: Denver wins and covers at -3.
