Early NFL Preseason Power Rankings

With the 2015 NFL season just around the corner, it’s not too early to take a look at all 32 teams in the league, and rank them in order of how they are expected to perform this year. There were a lot of coaching changes and roster moves during the offseason, which is expected to shake things up in the league this season. With that being said, here is a look at our first power rankings of the year.

#32. Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jaguars were one of the worst teams in the league last season, and they didn’t do much to upgrade their roster in the offseason, which means they aren’t going to do much this year.

#31. Tennessee Titans.

The Titans drafted Marcus Mariota to be their franchise quarterback, but fans should expect some growing pains, which means they will be competing with Jacksonville for a high draft pick again.

#30. San Francisco 49ers.

Everything that can go wrong for a franchise happened to the 49ers this offseason, which means they won’t be very competitive this year.

#29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jameis Winston is expected to help the team become contenders, but that isn’t going to happen this year.

Jack Del Rio should be able to make the team competitive, but they still need some more talent before they can compete with the other teams in the division.

#27. Washington Redskins.

Redskin fans are hoping Robert Griffin III can regain the form he had his rookie season.

#26. Cleveland Browns.

They are talented defensively, but still have a lot of work to do on the offensive end.

#25. Chicago Bears.

John Fox should be able to make them a contender, but it’s not likely to happen this season.

#24. Houston Texans.

The injury to Arian Foster is going to hurt the team.

#23. New Orleans Saints.

Drew Brees will need some help this season to fill Jimmy Graham’s shoes.

#22. Minnesota Vikings.

The return of Adrian Peterson will make the offense better, but they still miss the playoffs.

#21. Carolina Panthers.

The Panthers should be able to win the division this year.

#20. Atlanta Falcons.

New head coach Dan Quinn should make them better defensively.

#19. San Diego Chargers.

Melvin Gordon should have an impact on the team offensively.

#18. New York Jets.

They addition of Brandon Marshall makes them dangerous offensively, but they still need a quarterback.

#17. New York Giants. 

Eli Manning should have some healthy receivers to throw to this year.

#16. Buffalo Bills.

LeSean McCoy should improve their running game, but they don’t have a quarterback.

#15. St. Louis Rams.

Nick Foles will try to lead them back to the playoffs.

#14. Miami Dolphins.

They will try to take advantage of Tom Brady’s suspension, and win the AFC East.

#13. Cincinnati Bengals.

Marvin Lewis will be hoping to get past the first round of the playoffs this year.

#12. Kansas City Chiefs.

Alex Smith needs to step up and lead them back to the playoffs.

#11. Philadelphia Eagles.

The team’s offseason moves are either going to work or blow up in Chip Kelly’s face.

#10. Arizona Cardinals.

A healthy Carson Palmer should be the difference maker this year.

#9. Detroit Lions.

They will be trying to build on last season’s success.

#8. Indianapolis Colts.

The addition of Frank Gore and Andre Johnson gives them the veteran leadership that they need.

#7. Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys were busy in the offseason, and will be one of the best teams in the league.

#6. Pittsburgh Steelers.

They should have one of the best offenses in the league this season.

#5. Baltimore Ravens.

Joe Flacco will try to lead his team to the division title.

#4. Denver Broncos.

The presence of Peyton Manning makes them a contender.

#3. New England Patriots.

Tom Brady’s suspension will hurt them.

#2. Green Bay Packers.

Aaron Rodgers will lead them on a deep playoff run.

#1. Seattle Seahawks.

They are still the most talented team in the NFL.
