We know, it’s not exactly the Denver Broncos vs the Carolina Panthers, but it makes for a really interesting game nevertheless. Kickoff at at 7PM Eastern Standard Time on Sunday, January 31st and will be broadcast on ESPN. Keep reading for our take on what celebrity coaches Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin have in store for us.

Remember, since a couple of years ago the NFL decided to let two hall of famers - Rice and Irvin - draft the teams in the competition. The draft took place on Wednesday night with a record of 133 having been selected to play, out of which only 86 will play.  The players that won’t make an appearance, most opted out due to injuries or because they’re playing in the Super Bowl.

Team Irvin had the first overall pick, selecting Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. This was followed by the selection of Eli Manning as the Team Rice quarterback, in the second overall pick.

Team Rice is captained by Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr along with defensive lineman Aaron Donald, which is a good thing considering who they chose as a quarterback. Manning and Beckham connected for 13 touchdowns this season for the Giants and hope to do it again Sunday. Manning jokingly mentioned in a comment he made that he told Odell “I know you’re the captain, don’t feel any pressure to draft me. But if you don’t draft me, don’t expect to catch any balls next year.”

Team Irvin then chose wide receiver Julio Jones, who plays for the Atlanta Falcons, on their third choice, which were followed by Oakland Raiders defensive end Khalil Mack on fourth pick by Rice.

Irvin countered with his three next picks, choosing defensive players. Seahawks corner Richard Sherman, Lion defensive end Ezekiel Ansah and Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett. Finally, he chose Bengal A.J. Green and Texan DeAndre Hopkins as his wide receivers on his sixth and seventh picks.

Meanwhile, Team Rice went with Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry as his third selection, followed by a two Raiders duo of Derek Carr and Amari Cooper. Finally, he selected Marcus Peters in the cornerback position and star running back for the Vikings of Minnesota Adrian Peterson.

A total of 48 players were drafted on Wednesday, which completed the team roster of players that were pre-drafted on Tuesday.

The Pro Bowl is once again being played in Aloha Stadium, after having been moved to Glendale Arizona last year.
