Wake Forest was undefeated prior to last week’s loss to Florida State last weekend.

The Deacons had a 12-3 lead in the second quarter which they held at 19-16 in the fourth. However, with just one minute left on the clock, and the game tied at 19, they gave up a 40-yard touchdown which lost them the game.

Though they scrambled back to the FSU 38-yard line, they couldn’t convert a Hail Mary attempt in the last play of the game.

Wake Forest played a good game, but a couple of costly turnovers lost them seven points which arguably would’ve won them the game.

Now, the Demon will attempt to get back on the horse against the best the conference has to offer.

The Tigers have been firing on all cylinders, but can’t afford to rest on their laurels.

The reigning champions own a 5-0 record this year (4-1 ATS), following a 31-17 victory at Virginia Tech last week.

Quarterback Kelly Bryant led the way in the victory, throwing for 186 yards and a touchdown while running for 94 more. All in all, Clemson outrushed Virginia Tech 146-90 and won the turnover battle 3-0.

After defeating three top 15 teams in the past four weeks, the Tigers only have one ranked team left on their schedule, so they have their playoff fate in their hands but cannot afford to lose against an unranked team.

Clemson is 8-0 SU in their last eight games against Wake Forest, but only 4-4 ATS which is something to consider given the three-touchdown spread in this game.

Home games for Clemson also tend to inflate the spread somewhat; out of their last 13 ATS losses, 8 were at home.

The Deacons on the other hand, are 7-2 ATS over its last nine games on the road.

Wake Forest vs Clemson Betting Trends

Wake Forest is 7-2-1 ATS in its last 10 games

Wake Forest is 5-1 SU in its last 6 games

Wake Forest is 7-2 ATS in its last 9 games on the road

Clemson is 6-1 ATS in its last 7 games

Clemson is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games

Clemson is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games at home

Pick and Prediction

There’s no question which team will win. The Demon Deacons haven’t faced a team as strong as Clemson all year and I’m expecting them to easily cover the spread at -21.5.

Alabama Crimson Tide vs Texas A&M Aggies

When: October 07, 2017, 7:15 PM ET

Where: Kyle Field

Spread: Alabama --26.T5

Over/Under: 54.5

Moneyline: NA

This might be the game of the week.

The Tide struggled early on against Colorado State and Fresno State, but has since shored up its defense allowing only three points over their last two games against Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.

There’s no arguing Alabama is the most efficient team in college football history. And, this year they continue to push the envelope.

Alabama’s run-pas option offense is led by quarterback Jalen Hurt, who lead the team in carries (55) and rushing yards (461), while Damien Harris, Bo Scarbrough and Najee Harris also contribute to a ground game that picks up 6.66 yards per carry.

Against the Aggies, the biggest threat might be Alabama’s passing game and Nick Saban will likely look to exploit it. Texas gives up nearly 300 passing yards per game which can’t be ignored and is likely to be a factor in how this game turns out.

After an embarrassing loss to the UCLA Bruins in their season opener, the call for coach Kevin Sumlin head rumbled in the background.

However, since that loss the Aggies have won four games straight and head into this game with some momentum and needed confidence.

Offensively, the Aggies should be able to stay in the game against the Crimson Tide, but true freshman quarterback Kellen Mond will have to push himself and have a practically perfect performance.

Fortunately for Mond, Alabama’s pass rush isn’t one of the better ones this year, ranking 8th among SEC team in sacks. However, the Aggies O line and secondary will have to come up big and pull their own weight.

Mond will also have avoid turnovers which might be easier said than done against the nation’s second-best rush defense and top-ranked scoring defense.

Alabama vs Texas A&M Betting Trends

  • Alabama vs Texas A&M Betting Trends
  • Alabama is 10-5 ATS in its last 15 games
  • Alabama is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games
  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Alabama's last 6 games
  • Texas A&M is 2-12 ATS in its last 14 games
  • Texas A&M is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games
  • Texas A&M is 1-8 ATS in its last 9 games at home

Pick and Prediction

I expect Alabama to win. However, at -26.5, the Aggies will cover the spread. Take A&M at +26.5.

West Virginia Mountaineers vs TCU Horned Frogs

When: October 07, 2017, 3:30 PM ET

Where: Amon Carter Stadium

Spread: TCU -13

Over/Under: 66

Moneyline: NA

This marquee Big 12 matchup faces two high-scoring offenses having at it.

The Mountaineers have won three games straight after losing their season opener to Virginia Tech. Each of the wins have been by at least 20 points, but none of their opponents were ranked.

WVU has been putting up some great numbers  in 2017 and now ranks No. 2 in yards and No. 3 for points per game in the nation.

WVU has had major difficulties to win on the road against top opponents however and hasn’t been able to beat top-10 opponents on the road for decades, their last win coming in 1982 against the ninth-ranked Oklahoma.

The Horned Frogs remain undefeated, and are coming off a fantastic win over the 6th ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys in Stillwater.

The Horned Frogs disciplined rushing attack led by Darius Anderson handed OKU their first loss of this season.

The sophomore back had his best game of the year, gaining 160 yards on 26 attempts and scoring three touchdowns. He also added four receptions for 41 yards to push him over 200 from scrimmage on the day.

Previous to that win, TCU earned its keep  by defeating Jackson State, Arkansas and SMU by double-digits in their first three games.

The OK State win was a big one for TCU, which went in to the game as an underdog, but the team has to keep their focus and do their job against a dangerous West Virginia team.

Defense is key for TCU, but they should be able to handle things. The Frogs kept OSU’s offense to just 31 points and forced four turnover which turned out to be critical.

West Virginia vs TCU Betting Trends

  • West Virginia is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games
  • West Virginia is 18-5 SU in its last 23 games
  • West Virginia is 4-10 ATS in its last 14 games on the road
  • Texas Christian is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games
  • Texas Christian is 1-9 ATS in its last 10 games at home
  • Texas Christian is 19-6 SU in its last 25 games at home

Pick and Prediction

The Horned Frogs 13.5-point favorites. Both teams will put up a lot of points, but West Virginia will win the ATS battle. Take the Mountaineers at +13.5.
