Hawks Betting

Boston’s lucky charms were out of whack in game 5, or so it seemed, because Atlanta was the one hitting all the shots during the second period of that game.

Mike Scott and Kent Bazemore put up 17 and 16 points respectively, which included three three-pointers in a row from Bazemore which left the Celtics with their jaws open, unable to answer back.

However, it’s an entirely different situation tonight because the Hawks are heading to Boston’s court, where the C’s won’t let things slip by easily enough. The Hawks will have to set the rhythm early, if they want to defeat the Celtics who will undoubtedly be pumped up to play in front of their home crowd. Paul Millsap, Jeff Teague and Al Horford will have kick it up a notch if they´re to slow down the Celtics and neutralize their home court advantage.

Teague will need to spread the ball around and get it in the hands of Millsap and Horford in the paint to create mid-range scoring opportunities. Bazemore will have to score at the wings and hopefully knock down some threes.

As for defense, they’ll have to slow down Isaiah Thomas as they have in previous games and keep him quiet. Thomas will be itching to play at TD Center where he’s performed very well against the Hawks.

Celtics Betting

Though Isaiah Thomas has been shut out as of late, going back to TD Center will give him some motivation to dust himself off and get down to business. Thomas can pull himself together and fire up his team in these types of situations.

Without a doubt, the Celtics have the advantage in this game though being the underdogs. If Thomas has a good night and Jae Crowder, Evan Turner and Marcus Smart kick into gear, the Celtics can run on the energy that their home crowd gives them and win tonight. Remember, the Celtics are accustomed to being the underdog and though these players have been sucking wind as of late, they can jump into action at the turn of a dime.
