Finally! That’s what the Mets probably were thinking as they defeated the Diamondbacks for the first time this season. New York dropped four games to Arizona in a seven-day span before scoring seven runs in a two-inning stretch on Tuesday for the 7-5 victory. With the win, the Mets inched above.500 and now are behind St. Louis by three games for the National League's second wild-card spot.

Zack Godley takes the mound with a 3-2 record and a 5.24 ERA. Godley allowed one run and two hits in 5 1/3 innings against Boston on Friday, which prompted the decision to keep him in the rotation and send left-hander Patrick Corbin to the bullpen.
