It Can't Get More Exciting Than The NBA Finals

The Golden State Warriors lead the Cleveland Cavaliers 3-2 in the NBA Finals, in what has been one of the most exciting finals series in recent years. The Cavaliers, who entered the series as underdogs, have put up a fight, despite not having two of their best players on the court, because of LeBron James, who already has two triple doubles in the series.

Prior to the start of the finals, Golden State was expected to win this series pretty easily, because they had the better team, but they have struggled making shots that they have made all year, because Cleveland has been playing very good defense.

The first two games of the series went into overtime, for the first time in NBA history, and the two teams split the games in Oakland. When the series shifted back to Cleveland, the Cavaliers won the first game at home, and looked like they were going to take a commanding 3-1 series lead over the heavily favored Warriors, but Golden State responded with a 21 point victory, and evened the series at 2-2.

In Game 5, LeBron James had another monster effort, with 40 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists, but he didn’t get a lot of help from the rest of his teammates, and Stephen Curry got hot in the 4th quarter, helping the Warriors get the win. Now, the Cavaliers are the ones with their backs against the wall, and need to get a win at home in Game 6, to force a series deciding Game 7, that NBA fans are wishing for.

Due to the outstanding play of LeBron James, Stephen Curry has been taking a lot of flak for not playing like the MVP, but in reality, Curry has actually played very well in this series, and has shot over 50% from the field, with the exception of Game 2, where he had a playoff low performance 5-23 shooting, for 19 points. Despite the bad game, he is still putting up 26.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.6 assists, while shooting 44% from the field. His average pales in comparison to LeBron James, who is averaging 36.6 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game, but Curry’s teammates are contributing, while James is mostly doing it by himself.

Even though James hasn’t gotten any consistent help, all the games, with the exception of Game 4 have been close, and if players like J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert can contribute like they did in the previous rounds, the Cavaliers can win Game 6, and even the series up.

NBA Finals Odds and Predictions.

The Warriors are favored to win Game 6, the point spread is currently 4.5 points, the over/under on the total points scored is 194.

My Pick: The Warriors are playing with a lot of confidence right now, while the Cavaliers look like they are getting tired, so I’m picking the Warriors to end the series with a win in Game 6, and be crowned the 2015 NBA Champions.
