Green Bay Packers vs Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Betting Line: Packers -4.5
  • Total: 48

Bet on the Packers

The Packers didn’t exactly find what they were looking for last year. But, this year, Aaron Rodgers and his crew look to come out blazing and hopefully turn things around now that they have wide receiver Jordy Nelson and running back Eddie Lacy fully recovered and ready to hit the ground running. Not only that, this team also is formidable on defense, even facing a great offense such as that of the Jaguars. Sam Shields and Ha Ha Clinton Dix form a great secondary that was the 6th best passing defense last year. Along with linebacker Clay Matthews, the cheese heads could stick it to Jacksonville.

Bet on the Jaguars

Jacksonville has been in the mud for the past five years and they’re expecting things to finally change for them. During the offseason Jacksonville added a few pieces that along with the existing talent could get them unstuck. Blake Bortles has great targets in Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns, who each racked up a combined 2,431 yards and 24 touchdowns. The Jaguars’ dark spot is in their defense; last year they had the fifth-worse passing defense and when facing Rodgers that should give them plenty to worry about. Maybe rookie Jalen Ramsey could help things, but you should bank on it.

Game Prediction: Packers cover easily at -4.5

Cincinnati Bengals vs New York Jets

  • Betting Line: Bengals -2.5
  • Total: 41.5

Bet on the Bengals

The Bengals are missing a few teeth that were lost during the offseason. However, Andy Dalton could still manage to drive the offense back to the AFC North division title. Last year the Bengals ranked seventh in overall scoring with 26.2 points per game and with a backfield consisting of Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard, we’re sure the Bengals can set up a running game that will get the job done. As far as the air attack, A.J Green, Brandon LaFell and Tyler Boyd are great receivers which give Dalton good targets to connect with.

Bet on the Jets

The Jets’ drama during the offseason unfolded right until the end of the free agency period when they hired quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. And, despite losing key figures such as running back Chris Ivory, they also acquired as much in Matt Forte. Last year, Forte added 898 yards along with four touchdowns for Chicago which is good news for the Jets. Even while Forte could be limited by the Bengals’ stout running defense, he could still manage to find some holes. Fitzpatrick could also connect with Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, who last combined for 2,534 receiving yards and 26 TDs last year.

Game Prediction: Bengals cover at -2.5
