Duke vs. Syracuse

The Blue Devils will likely get a number 1 seed in the upcoming NCAA tournament, because they have been one of the best teams in the country this year. On offense, the Blue Devils are averaging 80.3 points per game, which is the 8th best mark in the country, but they aren't as good on the defensive end, allowing opponents to score 64.4 points per game.

Syracuse is coming off a 14 point victory over Boston College on Wednesday, but they are 4-4 in their last 8 games. They defeated the Blue Devils the last time they visited the Carrier Dome, and will be hoping for the same result this year. They are averaging 69.6 points a game, while allowing 62.4 points per game.

Game Odds: The Blue Devils are favored to win by -6.5 points.

My Pick: This game will be closer than most people expect, and Syracuse will buck the odds and get the win.

Auburn vs. Georgia

The Tigers are one of the worst teams in the SEC, and are 1-6 in their last seven games. They are currently on a two game losing streak, and are coming off a 16 point loss to Arkansas. The team is averaging 68.7 points per game this season, but is allowing 70 points per game.

Georgia won its last two home games against Auburn, and will be trying to make it three in a row when they meet on Saturday. The Bulldogs are 6-2 in their last eight games, and have won two straight games, they are averaging 69.6 points per game, while allowing 64.6 points.

Game Odds: Georgia is favored to win the game by -11 points.

My Pick: Georgia is going to get the win, but the 11 points seem to be a little too much, considering the fact that the team only has two victories of more than 10 points in their last nine games, some of which have come against the worst teams in the conference. I will try my luck with Auburn in this game, and pick them to cover the spread.

Oregon vs. UCLA

The Ducks won the first meeting between the two teams when they met last month. In that game, the Ducks shot over 60 percent from the floor, which allowed them to coast to an easy win. They probably won't shoot as well this time around, but if they can play with the same defensive intensity that they did in the first game, they should be able to come away with the victory.

The Bruins have played very well lately, and are 4-1 in their last five games. They are one of the better scoring teams in the country, averaging 71.4 points per game, but their defense needs a lot of work, because they allow opponents to score 68.4 points per game, which is 238th in the country. They will need to give a better defensive effort to defeat the Ducks on Saturday.

Game Odds: UCLA is favored to win by -6 points.

My Pick: UCLA has better quality wins than Oregon in their last five games, but Oregon has a very good offense, and I don't think UCLA will be able to slow them down. UCLA will get the win, but I'm laying money on Oregon to cover the spread.

Maryland vs. Penn State

The Terrapins have been one of the best teams in the Big Ten this year, but they aren't playing at their best right now, and have lost three straight games on the road. They defeated the Nittany Lions in their first meeting, but they struggled against a team they should have easily defeated.

The Nittany Lions haven't gotten the results that they would have liked, but they have played very close games with their opponents in seven of their last eight losses, which shows that they are capable of pulling an upset against any of the top teams in the conference. The team averages 67.9 points per game, and hold their opponents to 65.5 points per game.

Game Odds: The odds of either team winning this game is even, so you have to pick a winner.

My Pick: Penn State came close to winning the last time they played, and I think they will be able to pull it off in front of their home crowd, so I'm going to put my money on them.
