Oklahoma Sooners vs LSU Tigers

  • Time: Saturday, January 30, 2016 5:00 PM ET
  • Place: Pete Maravich Assembly Center

Betting on the Sooners

The Sooners are 17-2 this season and have a national player of the year candidate in Buddy Hield. Not only that, but the rest of the squad is impressive as well with Jordan Woodward and Isaiah Cousins also being fantastic players.

The dynamic threesome has helped the Sooners lead in three point shooting with an average percentage of 46.7%. Ryan Spangler and Khadeem Lattin complete the starting five.

Betting on the Tigers

LSU has been steadily improving after a shaky slate of non-conference games. Both of LSU’s losses were against SEC teams while on the road. The Tigers fell to Florida and Texas A&M.

They also count with a national player of the year candidate in Ben Simmons, who might go pro in June’s NBA draft. LSU would do well to improve their defense, as they rank 263 in scoring defense while allowing 75.6 point per game.

Free Pick: It’s going to be a great game, matching up the two top players in the country. At the buzzer, LSU will lose.

Kentucky Wildcats vs Kansas Jayhawks

  • Time: Saturday, January 30, 2016 7:00 PM ET
  • Place: Allen Fieldhouse

Betting on the Wildcats:

Kentucky is doing pretty well, only losing to Auburn a couple of weeks back. Three consecutive wins against SEC teams have shown the team’s comeback. Head coach  John Calipari relies on point guard Tyler Ulis to lead the team and he seems to be on task in doing so.

Betting on the Jayhawks

Kansas is attempting to win its 11th consecutive Big 12 championship. And, they’re doing well this season. The Jayhawks are among the leading teams in one of the nation’s toughest conferences, however their loss against Oklahoma State put a dent in their record.

Free Pick: Kansas ranks fifth nationally in three point scoring percentage at 43%. They’ll be putting up plenty of three-pointers in this game as well. Kansas will win.

Iowa State Cyclones vs Texas A&M Aggies

  • Time: Saturday, January 30, 2016 2:00 PM ET
  • Place: Reed Arena

Betting on the Cyclones

With wins against Oklahoma and Kansas, Iowa State gives credence to being one of, if not the, best team in the country’s hardest conference. Head coach Steve Prohm has a Final Four ready team in his hands. Georges Niang is having a great season, while Monte Morris is one of the best point guards in the country.

Betting on the Aggies

Ranked 5th in the country, the Aggies looked well poised to lead the SEC. However, with a loss against Arkansas earlier this week, the Aggies have dug themselves into hole.  Guards Jalen Jones and Danuel House are great on the perimeter. And freshman center Tyler Davis (11.3 ppg, 5.9 rpg) has provided the help this team needs to be a contender.

Free Pick: It’s Iowa State. They’ll prove why they’re considered one of the best in the Big 12.
