San Antonio is riding high after winning over the Jazz on Tuesday night. Though Kawhi Leonard pulled a rabbit out of his hat, hitting the game winner with seconds left in the clock, it undoubtedly will give the team motivation heading into tonight’s game with the Warriors.

Leonard hit the jump shot when it counted, regardless of the points he scored in the game (18). With the win, their fourth in a row, the Spurs have racked up a total of 65 wins with just 12 losses.

Their test tonight will take them on the road to the home of the defending champions Golden State Warriors. And, if there’s a team out there that may slow down Stephen Curry it’s the Spurs. San Antonio is only allowing 92.5 points per game, which is the best in the league. In their previous match earlier this season, the Spurs managed to contain Curry, letting him score an incredible 14 points on just 4-of-18 shooting.

The Spurs’ offense is also pretty good. Though their main weapon is their defense, they’re ranked among the top teams in scoring with 104 points scored per game.

Bet on Golden State Warriors

Though the Warriors lost to Timberwolves on Tuesday in overtime, they’re still on track to break the 1995-95 Bulls record for wins in a season. It’s clear to everyone that this team is a scoring machine that’s hard to stop.

Regardless, though the Warriors’ offense is impressive, their defense is not. The loss to Minnesota has forced them to win their next four games if they want to bring down the record. And, with tough competition ahead, starting with the Spurs, it’s hard to predict what the outcome might be.

Like mentioned above, the Spurs put a clamp on their scoring ability the last time around and their defense is strong enough to hamper even Curry and Thompson.

Curry seemed to struggle against the Timberwolves, only managing to hit 7 of 25 shots. And, the Spurs defense is much better than that of Minnesota’s. Nevertheless, the Warriors will do whatever it takes to defend their home court and Curry and Co. are in it to win it all.
