March Madness Picks To Pass The Round of 64

If you haven’t filled in the brackets for your March Madness pool, there’s still time left. But, you might be a tad in the dark on picking the winners for a few games that, understandably, are hard to call. With this in mind, we’ve made the analysis on three games which we believe will help you make the call.

Let’s get going…

Providence Friars vs USC Trojans

  • Time: Thursday, March 17, 2016 9:50 PM ET
  • Place: PNC Arena

Providence Friars Betting

The Friars are the lesser seed. However, this didn’t stop the sportsbooks from listing them as the favorites to win this game. Undoubtedly, it due to the two players who power their offense: NBA material Kris Dunn and big man Ben Bentil.

Dunn, considered among the best guards in the country, averages 16.0 points, 5.5 boards, 6.4 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. Bentil, on his behalf, leads in scoring and rebounds with 21.2 PPG and 7.8 RPG.

USC Trojans Betting

Blink and the Trojans will score big time on you. The Trojans average 80.8 points per game on 45.7 percent shooting, which is incredible.

USC has five players in their ranks that average double figures in scoring led by Jordan McLaughlin, who is putting up  13.4 points per game. As a team, the Trojans put up 28.9 field goals per game, which is ninth in the NCAA.

Game Prediction: The Friars pass through.

Pittsburgh Panthers vs Wisconsin Badgers

  • Time: Friday, March 18, 2016 6:50 PM ET
  • Place: Scottrade Center

Pittsburgh Panthers Betting

The Panthers were seeded at No. 10 and are out to prove they can hold their own against better programs, though their record doesn’t necessarily show it. Pittsburgh is 1-7 record versus ranked opponents.

With 10 players that get the most out of their time on the court, this squad is fairly balanced. Michael Young leads with 16.0 points per game and 7 boards, while Jamel Artis and James Robinson put up 24.7 points and 8.2 dimes combined, which has proved hard for opponents to get under control.

Wisconsin Badgers Betting

The Badgers made it to the Final Four the past two seasons. However, some analysts question whether this team has what it takes to make it quite as far this year.

First-year coach Greg Gard has put up a completely different roster to hopefully accomplish the same feat this time around and they should still be competitive enough to make another deep run in the tournament.

Defense is key for the Badgers. This team has only allowed opponents to score 64.6 points, which is 26th-lowest in the nation. With the likes of Nigel Hayes, Bronson Koenig and Ethan Happ powering the offense, they should also be well poised to score on opponents.

Game Prediction: The Badgers pass through.

Butler Bulldogs vs Texas Tech Red Raiders

  • Time: Thursday, March 17, 2016 12:40 PM ET
  • Place: PNC Arena

Butler Bulldogs Betting

The Bulldogs have made it to the Big Dance eight times in the past nine years. Senior guard Roosevelt Jones powers this offense and is averaging 14 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.

Kellen Dunham averages 16.3 points per game and is making 80 of 187 three-pointers. Kelan Martin and Andrew Chrrabascz average 16.1 and 10.1 points per game respectively. Butler is no pushover, this team is here to compete.

Texas Tech Red Raiders Betting

The Red Raiders won three in row in the regular season against Iowa State, Baylor and Oklahoma. Although they’re not spectacular, they’ve proved they can get the job done.

Seniors Toddrick Gotcher and Devaugntah Williams lead the offense and could definitely lead to victory.

Game Prediction: Butler passes through.
