Golden State Warriors vs Orlando Magic

  • Time: Thursday, February 25, 2016 7:00 PM ET
  • Place: Amway Center

Orlando Magic

The Magic has been doing extremely well these last two months. However, their success might be cut short tonight in facing the juggernaut that is the Golden State Warriors.

There are a couple of factors that you need to consider: One, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Two, the Magic has struggled to stop three point shots. Put these two together and there might not be anything the Magic can do to win tonight.

Though winning four of their last six, which puts them in 11th place in the Eastern Conference, and just 3 1/2 games behind Charlotte for the final playoff berth, with only defeats against San Antonio and Indiana, the Warriors might be a little bit too much for them to handle.

Golden State Warriors

If you’re not impressed by what the Warriors are doing, then there’s probably something wrong with you. The Warriors are one game ahead of the record 72-wins of Jordan’s 1995-96 Bulls.

The Warriors average an amazing 115.1 points per game and put up 100 points for the 15th straight time in Wednesday's 118-112 victory at Miami. Curry, himself, scored 42 of those points capped off by a 3-pointer with 38 seconds left and then hit his free throws with 18.5 seconds remaining on the clock. And if that wasn’t enough Thompson put up an additional 33 points.

Betting Trends:

  • Golden State is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games
  • Golden State is 14-1 SU in its last 15 games
  • Golden State is 6-13-1 ATS in its last 20 games when playing on the road against Orlando
  • Orlando is 5-1 ATS in its last 6 games
  • Orlando is 4-2 SU in its last 6 games
  • Orlando is 15-5 SU in its last 20 games when playing at home against Golden State

Free Pick: Golden State wins straight up.

San Antonio Spurs vs Utah Jazz

  • Time: Thursday, February 25, 2016 10:30 PM ET
  • Place: EnergySolutions Arena

San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs won the first two games by a combined 62 points while shooting 58.4% from the field and 18 of 42 from outside the arc.

Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs in that game with 22 points, while LaMarcus Aldridge and Tony Parker put up 18 a piece in a 118-81 home win on December 14th. Parker also scored 23 points while Leonard added 18 in a 108-92 victory at Sacramento on Wednesday. This makes it three in a row for the Spurs and five of six on an eight-game road stretch.

Utah Jazz

The Jazz are great playing at home, using a defensive structure that’s hard to score against. It’s a strategy that has brought them to a seven-game winning streak and secured the last Western Conference playoff spot.

Though the Jazz has kept opponents this season to only 40.8 percent shooting following Tuesday's 117-114 overtime victory, their defense will be hard-pressed against San Antonio’s offense. Utah  hasn't won eight straight games at home since April of 2010 when they went on a 10-game run.

Betting Trends

  • Utah is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games
  • Utah is 9-3 SU in its last 12 games
  • Utah is 4-19 SU in its last 23 games when playing San Antonio
  • San Antonio is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games
  • San Antonio is 9-1 SU in its last 10 games
  • San Antonio is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games when playing on the road against Utah

Free Pick: Utah wins straight up.
