Washington Wizards vs Boston Celtics

  • When:  May 02, 2017, 8:00 PM ET
  • Where: TD Garden
  • Spread: Celtics -5.5
  • Over/Under: 217.5

Betting on the Wizards?

Washington set a blazing pace in Game 1 of the series, scoring 38 points over Boston just in the first quarter alone. However, it was the Celtics that took the day with a 123-111 win which goes to show that the upstart Wizards are still somewhat green around the edges.
John Wall and Bradley Beal are the Wizards’ heavy-hitters. Wall posted a 20-point, 16-assist double-double, while Beal scored a team-high 27 in the first game. And, they also drew plenty of attention from the Celtics’ defense which also opened up opportunities for other players to score.

There are some concerns over key forward Markieff Morris’ health. Morris is nursing an injured ankle so expect this to be a factor when you’re betting this game.

Betting on the Celtics?

Boston has shown its grit in the postseason. After losing the first two games of their previous series, they’ve rallied to win five-straight since.

Isaiah Thomas, Al Horford, Avery Bradley, and Jae Crowder are the Celtics’ workhorses. All four players averaged a combined 84 points in the regular season series against Washington and it’s expected they’ll be on par tonight.

Boston has also been torching from three-point-land. In the previous game, they scored a total of 19 threes to add to their 32 game assists total.

Game Prediction: Wizards tie up the series. Washington is 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games on the road; Boston is 7-2 SU in its last 9 games when playing Washington.

Utah Jazz vs Golden State Warriors

  • When: May 02, 2017, 10:30 PM ET
  • Where: Oracle Arena
  • Spread: Warriors -13.5
  • Over/Under: 206.5

Betting on the Jazz?

Utah had a grueling 7-game series against the Clippers, which means they might face an even more difficult uphill struggle against the Warriors. Apart from the obvious, some players will likely be strained and need rest.

The Jazz will look to stick to their guns and try to slow the pace of the game down while focusing on a stifling defense. Utah is first in points allowed (96.8) and third in efficiency and held the Clips below 100 points in all but one game during their series.

Betting on the Warriors?

Though it might seem the Warriors have it easy, Utah has beaten GS once this season and at home which means there’s no time to loosen things up.

Two-time MVP Stephen Curry has been on fire, averaging nearly 30 points per game this postseason. But, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant will all need to step up against the Jazz because of Utah’s effective defense.

Durant is still not up to 100% health after his calf injury. In his comeback game, he only played 20 minutes and scored 10 points, which means Green and Thompson might have to pull some more weight.

Game Prediction: Golden State wins but doesn’t cover. Utah is 11-5 SU in its last 16 games; Golden State is 7-1 SU in its last 8 games when playing Utah.
