Betting on the Clippers

Finally something went the Clippers way and they managed to break their three-game losing skid. Last Wednesday, LA defeated the New York Knicks, 119-115. The Clippers seem to have the Knicks’ ticket as four of their players scored double-figures and have now beat them nine times in a row.

Blake Griffin scored a season-high 32 points along with eight boards, leading the way for the Clippers’ victory. Griffin has been instrumental for LA this year as their leading scorer thus far.

Los Angeles might be licking their chops at competing against Charlotte this coming Saturday as they’ve won 10 of their last 11 games over the Hornets.

Betting on the Hornets

The Hornets were stung by the Houston Rockets on Thursday night, losing the game, 107-95. Rockets’ James Harden lit the Hornets up with 30 points, 11 boards and eight dishes. This puts the Hornets in an eight-game losing skid.

Now facing the Clippers, Charlotte has an uphill struggle for which they’ll need to make some major adjustments. The Hornets are having all sorts of problems in protecting the ball; against the Rockets, they turned the ball over an incredible 22 times which Houston turned into 27 points. Against the Clippers, that are 18th in points converted off turnovers, they’ll need to do a much better job.

The Hornets’ ranks have been riddled with injuries and head coach Steve Clifford will have his work cut out for him as many of his starting players such as Kemba Walker, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Marvin Williams and Cody Zeller have all been sidelined for many of the games. Walker is also source for concern as his performance hasn’t been up to snuff and he’s just hitting 17 of 56 from the field over the span of his last four games. He also turned the ball over six times against Houston.

Game Prediction and Pick: It won’t get any easier for the Hornets and they’ll be burned once more by the Clippers.

Two NBA Friday To Bet On:

Indiana Pacers vs. Washington Wizards (8:00 PM ET): Both teams recently had a nine-game winning streak snapped. However, I believe Wizards had more time to recover. Washington wins.

Golden State Warriors vs. Memphis Grizzlies (8:00 PM ET): Once again, the Warriors are a well-oiled scoring machine. Despite their dominance on offense, they seem to struggle against the Grizzlies. I like Memphis’ chances; my bet is on the Grizzlies.
