Betting on the Rockets

Game 1 turned into the Rocket’s shooting gallery, as they let loose on the Spurs managing to hit 22 of their 50 attempts from downtown.

It was practically game over by halftime when the Rockets led by 30 points. James Harden was on fire, scoring 20 points while handing the ball over 14 times.

But, it wasn’t only Harden that was firing on all cylinders. Along with him, Trevor Ariza and Clint Capela had 23 and 20 points, respectively, while Eric Gordon and Lou Williams came off the bench and combined for 24 point and five threes.

Betting on the Spurs

The Spurs ran all over the court trying to slow down the Rockets in Game 1. San Antonio could not prevent Houston from going down the lane for the easy score and neither could they stop them from finding the open shot opportunity from behind the three-point line.

LaMarcus Aldridge played awful, scoring only 4 points, and was manhandled by the Rocket’s big men. He’ll need to step up if the Spurs are going to make it out unscathed in tonight’s game.

Kawhi Leonard was, perhaps, the sole bright spot for San Antonio. However, his 21 points were not enough to even make a dent in the score.

San Antonio needs to figure out a way of pressuring Harden while keeping their eyes on Houston’s shooters. The Rockets will stick to their guns and seek to bury the Spurs in shots taken.

Trends to consider

Houston is 4-2 ATS in its last 6 games
Houston is 4-10-1 ATS in its last 15 games
Houston is 6-1 SU in its last 7 games
The total has gone OVER in 5 of San Antonio's last 5 games
San Antonio is 18-5 SU in its last 23 games at home
San Antonio is 6-2 SU in its last 8 games when playing Houston

Game Prediction: Arguably, the Rockets are the most underrated underdog in these playoffs. However, time and again they’ve proved they’re a force to reckon with. They head into tonight’s game as the 5.5-point underdog, but it’s going to be the Rockets that once again prevail.
