Here are just a few of the great and exciting matchups to watch during the Sweet 16.
Richmond vs. Kansas
The Richmond Spiders won the Atlantic-10 tournament to get an invite to the Big Dance, but experts did not think they would win any games. They have proved all of the experts wrong as they have breezed through the competition and will provide an excellent matchup for the No. 1 seeded Kansas Jayhawks.
Markieff and Mrcus Morris are the dynamic scoring duo for the Jayhawks that are almost impossible to stop. The Richmond Spiders have plenty of senior talent, but will have to play a flawless game if they hope to beat Kansas.
If you want any proof that there have been plenty of upsets in this year’s NCAA Tournament, look no further than this matchup. Both Florida State and VCU pulled off remarkable upsets to get this far in the tournament and it will assure that a double digit seed will make it to the Elite Eight.
VCU will be out to the test against one of the best defenses in the country. The Seminoles have the best field goal percentage defense in the country and will be tasked to stop VCU’s talented point guard Joey Rodriguez. This game will be worth watching as two underdogs fight to advance in the biggest tournament in college basketball.
