The college football bowl season kicks off this weekend with three interesting and entertaining bowl games.

The Troy Trojans take on the Ohio Bobcats in the 10th annual R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, this Saturday night in the Louisiana Superdome.
The Trojans come in with a 7-5 record and a share of the Sun Belt title, the Bobcats finished with a record of 8-4, and finished second place behind Miami in the MAC East. This game will be a battle between the strong rushing attack of the Bobcats against the defense of the Trojans. If the suspect defense can slow down Ohio quarterback Boo Jackson and company this could be one of the most interesting bowl games of the season.
New Mexico Bowl: The college football bowl season continues with the New Mexico bowl in Albuquerque, New Mexico. BYU Cougars and the University of Texas-El Paso Miners will be the competitors fighting for the victory on Saturday.
The Miners will have a home field advantage with the game playing so close to home. The Cougars travel well, but have struggled on the season to finish at 6-6. A loss to rival Utah to end the season will put the Cougars in a foul mood for this game. If the defense is up to slowing down the Miners offense then this game will be closely contested.
