This year’s edition of the best tennis tournament in the world will feature all of the greatest athletes that the game has today. The field is very talented and although there are a few favorites to win it all, there could easily be a surprise that could win it all. The Wimbledon draw for the 2011 edition is out and world number one Rafael Nadal, could face some interesting battles ahead of the last four. Nadal faces Michael Russell in the first round which should be an easy enough battle followed by the winner of the match between Pablo Andujar and American Ryan Sweeting. The plot thickens in the third round, where there could be Milos Raonic waiting for him. Raonic’s ability to serve really big will hold him in good stead in that Raonic-Nadal match. This will be followed by Juan Martin Del Potro playing Nadal in the fourth round in another potentially difficult encounter. Del Potro has won the US Open earlier. Nadal’s quarter-final match will be against Tomas Berdych, if he manages to go through to that stage. Berdych was the 2010 Wimbledon’s finalist, having lost to Nadal. On the other hand, Andy Murray starts his campaign off with a match against Spaniard Daniel Gimeno-Traver in the first round followed by the winner of the Tobias Kamke versus Blaz Kavcic in the second round. For Murray, as was the case with Nadal, it is in the third round, he could meet his first real challenge as he takes on one of Sergiy Stakhovsky or Ivan Ljubicic or Marin Cilic. Murray may play Andy Roddick in the quarter-final. Roger Federer has a very easy draw as the only real challenge in his quarter is Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. The biggest match-up, however, will be the encounter between the marathon-men from the previous edition of the Wimbledon – John Isner and Nicolas Mahut – who face each other in the first round.
