NFL Preseason Week 4, this week will be played on Thursday, August 28

It is the final week of the preseason, which means teams are making their final adjustments before the season begins in one week, and all the games this week will be played on Thursday, August 28, so teams will have a full week to rest their players.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, 6 PM. ET.

Matt Ryan and his receivers will use this opportunity to work out any kinks they might still have before the season starts, and try to fix their running game also. The Jaguars will likely use this game to determine which quarterback will be their starter when the season starts.

Detroit Lions vs. Buffalo Bills, 7 PM. ET.

The Lions offense looks ready for the start of the regular season, but their pass defense hasn’t looked very good so far, and will need to improve before the season starts, because they will go up against Aaron Rodgers and Jay Cutler in their division. The Bills need more consistent play from E.J. Manuel if they plan to make some noise in their division this season.

Indianapolis Colts at Cincinnati Bengals, 7 PM. ET.

The Colts don’t have a good running game, which will be a problem for them down the line, because all the pressure will be on Andrew Luck to make plays happen. The Bengals have to be pleased with Andy Dalton’s play in the preseason, but they still need their defense to step up their play before the season starts.

New York Jets vs. Philadelphia Eagles, 7 PM. ET.

Chris Johnson has been looking great this preseason, and will take some pressure off Geno Smith when the season starts, if he keeps running the ball this well. The Eagles defense has been awful during the preseason, and will be a liability if they can’t fix the problem before the season starts.

St. Louis Rams vs. Miami Dolphins, 7 PM. ET.

The Rams offense is still trying to figure out how to play together, because they lost Sam Bradford for most of the season, but the defense, which is supposed to be a strength hasn’t played very well either. The Dolphins have managed to win in the preseason despite their lack of a running game, which is something that will cost them games when the season starts.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Green Bay Packers, 7 PM. ET.

The Chiefs defense was supposed to be their strength, but have not been very consistent in the preseason, while their offense has looked more explosive than it was last year. If their defense can return to its dominant form, they will be very difficult to beat. The Packers are glad to have Aaron Rodgers back in the lineup, because his presence automatically makes their offense better, the defense is also starting to show some signs of life, and will make them dangerous in the regular season if they play as well as they did against the Rams.

Carolina Panthers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, 7:30 PM. ET.

The Panthers passing game hasn’t looked too good so far, because the team lost most of their receivers in the offseason, and the new players are still getting used to the offense, expect them to get better as the season progresses. The Steelers offense was very efficient in the first half against the Bills, and the team is hoping to be that efficient when the regular season starts.

New England Patriots vs. New York Giants, 7:30 PM. ET.

The Patriots offense was very good against the Eagles, especially their running game, and looks ready for the start of the regular season. The Giants on the other hand, are still getting used to their new offense, and are running out of time to get it all down.
