Green Bay Packers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Time: Sunday, September 11, 2016 1:00 PM ET
  • Place: EverBank Field
  • Betting Line: Packers -4.5
  • Total: 48

Bet on the Packers

The Packers’ star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, is reeling to get going this season after having a forgettable 2015 campaign that saw him complete less than 60 percent of his passes. Now, with a receiving corps that’s fully healthy he should be able to kick the offense into gear. Wide receiver Jordy Nelson is back in the fold and running back Eddie Lacy is once again in shape which means that Rodgers has all the weapons he needs to drive the Packers far into the postseason. Green Bay is also very good on the other side of the ball with a top-ranked defense that ranked 6th last year against the pass with Sam Shields and Ha Ha Clinton Dix minding the secondary and linebacker Clay Matthews up front pestering quarterbacks.

Bet on the Falcons

Quarterback Blake Bortles is also fixing to get going this year to drive the Falcons offense to victory. Last year Bortles passed for 4,428 yards and 35 touchdowns and this year with two top-tier receivers in Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns he should be able to establish a deadly air attack. The duo of Robinson and Hurns received for more than 1,000 a piece last season along with combined 24 touchdowns. The dark spot for the Falcons is in their defense that could be open to receive heavy damage from Green Bay’s pass attack.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Detroit Lions

  • Time: Sunday, September 11, 2016 4:25 PM ET
  • Place: Lucas Oil Stadium
  • Betting Line: Colts -3
  • Total: 51

Bet on the Colts

The Colts’ 2015 campaign was forgettable. Quarterback Andrew Luck was sluggish throughout all the season battling a shoulder injury that affected his performance. However, Luck has since recovered and starts this season healthy and is expected to get his game on again. The Colts’ passing game is benefited by having T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief in the receiving corps. On the other side of the ball, the Colts need to make adjustments if they’re to be successful. Last season they gave up around 380 offensive yards per game and this just won’t cut it.

Bet on the Lions

The Lions plans for a successful 2016 campaign will have to exclude having Calvin Johnson in the mix. Their star wide receiver announced he was retiring this year which undoubtedly puts the Lions’ passing game in a bind. However, quarterback Matt Stafford should still be able to set up a passing attack with Golden Tate, Eric Ebron and Marvin Jones as targets. Stafford has had four-consecutive seasons passing over 4,200 yards. The Lions’ dark spot is in their defense, one that allowed around 350 yards per game to its opponents last season which is something they’ll need to improve to take some pressure off the offense.

Betting Trends

  • Detroit is 6-2 ATS in its last 8 games
  • Detroit is 6-2 SU in its last 8 games
  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Detroit's last 6 games Indianapolis is 15-6 SU in its last 21 games at home
  • The total has gone UNDER in 7 of Indianapolis's last 10 games at home
  • Indianapolis is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games when playing Detroit

Game Prediction: Colts cover at -4
