Seattle Seahawks vs Los Angeles Rams

  • Time: Sunday, September 18, 2016, 4:05 PM ET
  • Place: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum
  • Betting Line: Seahawks -7
  • Total: 38.5

Bet on the Seahawks

Russell Wilson pulled out all the stops and prevented Seattle from losing to the Miami Dolphins. Wilson spearheaded a drive late in the fourth quarter and set up a game-winning touchdown pass to Doug Baldwin. The Seahawks’ star quarterback ended with 258 passing yards in that game.

Now, the game may have come at a heavy cost for Wilson who was playing with a hurt ankle. Some reports have Wilson sitting out for the game against the Rams, however, according to other sources Wilson is in top shape and ready to challenge the Rams. There’s no questioning the Seahawks are ready to face Los Angeles, even if they’ll be playing on the Rams’ home turf.

With a good defensive unit, that kept Miami at 10 points and 210 total offensive yards, they’ll have no problems in stopping LA. Meanwhile, Wilson and his receiving unit can get the air game going and do heavy damage to win the game.

Bet on the Rams

The Rams just dropped the ball against the 49ers which probably doesn’t sit at all well with LA’s fans. Quarterback Case Keenum was a mess and only passed for 130 yards while being picked off twice. Running back Todd Gurley was held to 47 yards on 17 carries and nobody else on the offense amounted to anything to tell.

If the Rams are to have a prayer in this second game, both Keenum and Gurley will have to shoulder the responsibility. Of course, the Rams might choose to go with Jared Goff to lead the offense, that’s if head coach Jeff Fisher allows him to play.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs San Diego Chargers

  • Time: Sunday, September 18, 2016, 4:25 PM ET
  • Place: Qualcomm Stadium
  • Betting Line: Chargers -3
  • Total: 48

Bet on the Jaguars

Though losing the game against the Green Bay Packers, the Jaguars made a statement that they can hang with the best of teams and, in fact, kept the game close throughout the entire time. Quarterback Blake Bortles led the offense and completed 24 of 29 passes, ending up with 320 yards and a touchdown.

The Jaguars will have to turn to the air game once more if running back Chris Ivory doesn’t play. Ivory is still out with an undisclosed general medical issue. Of course, this might not be too bad of news if Bortles can connect with his receivers and San Diego’s weak secondary.

Bet on the Chargers

The Chargers loss to Kansas City is probably the team’s least of concerns. The injury of wide receiver Keenan Allen is much more worrying. Without Allen, quarterback Phillip Rivers will have to find another target to get his air attack going. Though he has Tyrell Williams and Travis Benjamin, they still might fall short of the mark. The Chargers might have to turn to the ground game instead, with running backs Melvin Gordon and Danny Woodhead leading the way, both players had decent performances and Gordon himself ran for two touchdowns.

Betting Trends

  • Jacksonville is 2-4-1 ATS in its last 7 games
  • Jacksonville is 1-6 SU in its last 7 games

  • San Diego is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games when playing Jacksonville
  • The total has gone OVER in 7 of San Diego's last 8 games when playing Jacksonville

Game Prediction: Jaguars take the win and upset the Chargers.

Atlanta Falcons vs Oakland Raiders

  • Time: Sunday, September 18, 2016, 4:25 PM ET
  • Place: Oakland Coliseum
  • Betting Line: Raiders -4.5
  • Total: 48

Bet on the Falcons

The Falcons probably had high hopes of starting this season with a win. However, their hopes were all but crushed after losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home by a score of 31-24.

Atlanta’s defense had nothing to show for and couldn’t for the life of them get to Tampa Bay quarterback Jameis Winston, who answered with four touchdowns just to add salt on their wounds. Though the Falcons’ offense showed some signs of life, they were unable to convert from the red zone. Matt Ryan finished with 337 passing yards and two touchdowns connecting with Tevin Coleman and Mohamed Sanu, which is something that should come in handy considering the weak Raiders defense. However, the Falcons still haven’t gotten a good contribution from their top receiver, Julio Jones. Jones had four catches for 66 yards and one touchdown in the game against the Bucs.

Bet on the Raiders

Meanwhile, the Raiders stuck it to the Saints and handed them with a 35-34 defeat at the Superdome. Quarterback Derek Carr had a huge night with 319 and along with Amari Cooper, who registered 137 receiving yards, drove a great air attack. They also had a good ground game with 167 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

The Raiders seem to have the upper hand in this game. With a more than capable offensive line to protect Carr, Oakland should continue a good air and ground attack to cut through the Falcons’ weak defenses.

Betting Trends

  • Atlanta is 2-11 ATS in its last 13 games
  • Atlanta is 2-8 SU in its last 10 games
  • The total has gone UNDER in 10 of Atlanta's last 11 games
  • Oakland is 6-14 SU in its last 20 games at home
  • The total has gone OVER in 11 of Oakland's last 16 games at home
  • Oakland is 4-2 ATS in its last 6 games when playing Atlanta

Game Prediction: Chalk one up to the Raiders. The 4.5 line looks good, expect them to cover.
