Betting on the Titans
The Titans are battling with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the AFC South title.
This makes this matchup pretty interesting because the Steelers also lead their division and we’ll get to see which team is the stronger one heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
The Titans have won four games straight after defeating the Bengals last Sunday.
Tennessee played a balanced game but their ground attack is probably their best weapon against the Steelers.
Derrick Henry led the way on the ground having rushed for 52 in 11 carries, followed by Marcus Mariota who added another 51 yards of his own and Demarco Murray running for two touchdowns.
It’s the ground attack that allows the Titans to control the clock combined with play action passes that makes this a good matchup for Tennessee because this game will likely be physical with both teams pushing each other for yards.
Betting on the Steelers
The Steelers are also on a four-game win streak of their own after defeating the Indianapolis Colts 20-17 on Sunday.
However, my appreciation was that the Steelers were sluggish and had to fight extra hard to gain the win.
As always, Roethlisberger led the offense in a good performance that saw his complete 19 of 31 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns.
Le’Veon Bell led the way via the ground attack, racking up 80 yards in 26 attempts while James Conner added 12 yards to his name.
The passing game seems to favor the Steelers as was evident in Juju Smith-Shuster’s 97 yards and one touchdown and Antonio Brown’s 47 yards.
The Steelers have a short week and might face injury issues which could be a factor affecting performance.
Cornerback Joe Haden suffered a fibula fracture that will keep him out for the season while Mike Mitchell, Vance McDonald and Darrius Heyward-Bey are also dealing with injuries that could leave them vulnerable to the air.
