Do you have your favorites for winning March Madness 2017? Here are mine.

North Carolina Tar Heels

Yes, the Tar Heels have a chance to get over last year’s debacle and heart crushing defeat in the Championship game. And, though they waved farewell to Marcus Paige and Brice Johnson, they now have Justin Jackson, Joel Berry II, and Kennedy Meeks to carry the torch. It’s obviously too soon to predict they’ll make it to the final, but even still they haven’t missed a beat and a buck gets ten they’re itching to make this their year.

Kentucky Wildcats

What this current Wildcats team lack in experience they make up for in sheer talent. Freshmen De'Aaron Fox, Malik Monk, and Bam Adebayo are the young new bloods that give this team its spark. But, they also have a couple of fairly seasoned veterans in the mix (Derek Willis, Dominique Hawkins) to balance things out. The result, as you’ve probably seen, is an extremely fast team on offense that can also hold its own on defense. Expect to see the Wildcats making a run for the Final Four.

Kansas Jayhawks

How about this? Kansas just bagged its 13th straight Big 12 title this year. But, if you’re going to come back with a “but, they haven’t been as successful in putting national titles under their belts,” then clearly you’re not seeing straight. To debate that what Bill Self has accomplished with this team is anything short of impressive is plainly wrong. And, whether or not Frank Mason, Josh Jackson, and the rest of Kansas University’s squad accomplish in this year’s competition, they’re already a great team.

Villanova Wildcats

This is quite a different team than last year’s championship-winning squad. There’s no Ryan Arcidiacono or Daniel Ochefu, but the Wildcats are as deadly as ever. Kris Jenkins is still hitting 3s, Josh Hart is a beast and one of the best college basketball players in the nation, and Jalen Brunson is incredibly talented. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this team, perhaps, is on route to a repeat title. Can you picture a repeat of last year’s history-making national title game? One can only hope.

Gonzaga Bulldogs

Gonzaga’s No. 1 seed is fairly deserved, unless you think 32-1 and wins over Arizona, Florida, and Arizona State are nothing to turn your head. BTW, they also beat Saint Mary’s thrice, just in case you didn’t catch that. This team has the likes of All-America point guard Nigel Williams-Goss, arguably the nation's best center, Przemek Karnowski, a first-round draft pick in Zach Collins, and plays some of the best defense in the nation. But, maybe you still think this team doesn’t have what it takes to win a national title. In that case, well, there’s nothing really to talk about and it’s best to fall asleep.
