Cavaliers vs Warriors NBA Finals Game 3 Preview And Prediction

It seems there’s no stopping the Warriors’ warpath to the 2017 NBA Championship crown if the first two games are any indication of it. As was the case in the first game, Golden State tore through the Cavaliers, defeating them 113-132 in Game 2.

However, the series heads to LeBron’s court where King James reigns supreme and the Game 3’s outcome might be different. Can James and the Cavaliers hold down the fort?

Plenty of people don’t seem to think so:

But, don’t count out Lebron just yet…

Betting on the Warriors

Stephen Curry first career postseason triple-double

If last year Golden State fans had good reason to believe their Warriors were going to crown themselves as the NBA champs after the first two games, this year they’re probably already breaking out the champagne.

The Warriors are now tallying 14 straight postseason wins after the 112-93 victory on Sunday night.

Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant led the way with Curry bagging his first career postseason triple-double of 32 points, 11 assists and 10 assists, while Durant put up 33 points, 13 rebounds, and 13 assists along with five blocks.

Klay Thompson meanwhile jumped back in the fray scoring 22 points on 8 of 12 shooting from the field.

Even still, the Warriors should not rest on their laurels now that they’re heading to Cleveland, especially considering they turned the ball over 20 times in Game 2 and that just won’t do in LeBron’s court.

Betting on the Cavaliers

Lebron and The Cavaliers are ready for NBA Finals game 4

About the only thing the Cavaliers should be relieved by is that the series is heading to Quicken Loans Arena for Game 3.

Even if LeBron James played to his usual self, putting up another triple double (29 points, 11 rebounds, 14 assists), Golden State still tore through them like a hot knife through butter.

But, it’s not really James who’s at fault, rather the lack of support from the rest of the team.

Kyrie Irving is just not performing well. Through the first two games, he’s only managed 43 points on 18-of-45 shooting from the field while Tristan Thompson has only grabbed eight rebounds and scored just as many points.

It’s clear James will have to do much more, but if the Cavs want to win Game 3 the rest of the team needs to step up.

Even still, with how Durant, Curry, and now Thompson are playing it might not be enough.

It doesn’t matter that LeBron score over 30 points, this Warriors team might be too much even for him.
