#11 Dayton Flyers vs. #3 Syracuse Orange. Saturday, March 22, 2014, Time TBA.

The Dayton Flyers pulled off the first upset of the 2014 NCAA Men's Basketball tournament, by defeating interstate rivals and #6 seed Ohio State Buckeyes in what was arguably the most interesting game of the tournament so far. Their reward for their hard work is a date with Jim Boeheim's Syracuse Orange; a #3 seed coming off a 24 point win over #14 Western Michigan.

The flyers had a chip on their shoulder against Ohio State, especially Dayton guard Jordan Siebert, who transferred from Ohio State after his sophomore season, due to a lack of playing time. He played a big role late in the game, with a rebound, steal and two free throws to give the Flyers the lead with less than three minutes remaining. Dayton should expect to have their hands full again, this time against a Syracuse team that made it to the final four last year, and was ranked #1 for a long stretch of time this season. The Flyers will be going into the game with some confidence after defeating Ohio State; they also managed to beat #11 Gonzaga and #17 ranked St. Louis so they are not going to be easily intimidated by Syracuse.

The Syracuse Orange find themselves in the familiar position of being a tournament favorite, the only difference is they have a more talented team than they had last year, and they expect to be one of the last teams left at the end of the tournament. Orange head coach Jim Boehiem has to keep his squad focused, and not take any team for granted especially after their convincing win against Western Michigan. If they don't take the Flyers seriously, they will end up being another upset victim like Ohio State.

Game Line:

Syracuse: -6 ½ -110

Total: 128 -110

Money Line: Syracuse -290

My Pick: Like a lot of people, Dayton has already busted my bracket with their impressive win against Ohio State, but I think Syracuse will win this game because they have one of the best college basketball coaches and a more experienced team.

Dayton showed a lot of fight against the Buckeyes in a very emotional game for them, but they won't be able to sneak up on Syracuse who won't take them lightly after watching them beat Ohio State.
