Thanksgiving Football Betting Preview

Thanksgiving Football Schedule
Thanksgiving and football go hand in hand and for this holiday season, the NFL provides the fan with a bounty of NFL games on turkey day.
The first game of the NFL Thanksgiving tripleheader will be in Detroit. The lions will play in their annual game and welcome the New England Patriots to town. The Patriots are one of the best teams in all of football and have already amassed eight wins on the season. Tom Brady is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and he will lead his team against the Lions.
The Lions will try to pressure Brady and so far this year they have been successful in pressuring opposing quarterbacks. They ranks sixth in the NFL in sacks and will put a full pressure attack on the Patriots signal caller.
The Lions will use an explosive passing game to try and exploit a Patriots secondary that ranks at the bottom the league in yards allowed. This game should be a shoot-out, but it will not be the only game that features dynamic offenses on Thanksgiving.
In the second game the New Orleans Saints will play the resurgent Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys have yet to lose since firing Wade Phillips and replacing him with offensive coordinator, Jason Garrett. If they want to stay on the winning track, they need to beat the Saints.
The Saints offense is led by quarterback Drew Brees and can score against any defense in the league. The Saints may have the services of running back Reggie Bush for this game and that will add to the explosiveness of this deadly offense. This could be the most entertaining game to watch on the schedule for the holiday.
In the nightcap of the Thanksgiving NFL schedule, the New York Jets will host the hapless Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals are off perhaps the worst game of the season against the Buffalo Bills. They mounted a huge lead over the Buffalo Bills just to see it slip through their fingers and end up losing badly.
The Jets continued the exciting ends by winning again in the final seconds against the Houston Texans. Mark Sanchez is coming in to his own as one of the premier passes in the NFL. He is looking forward to taking a few snaps against one of the worst defenses in the league.
The Jets defense should get a challenge trying to defend outspoken wide receivers Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco. Although the Bengals have not been winning games, they are able to put points on the scoreboard.
This week the NFL will provide plenty of great games for the holiday, so fill up on turkey and football this Thanksgiving!
