The week in the NBA starts off right with a full schedule of hoops on Monday.
Here is a look at some of the most interesting games on the schedule for Monday night in the NBA.
Minnesota Timberwolves at New York Knicks
At this point in the season many people believed both of these teams would be below .500. The Timberwolves have held up to their end of the bargain as they have yet to get double digit wins on the season. The lone bright spot was the unbelievable performance by center Kevin Love earlier in the year, but besides that the Wolves have had a disappointing year, but not the Knicks.
The Knicks were upset because they missed out on LeBron James in the off-season, but they cannot be too upset with who they did get. The Knicks acquired Amare Stoudemire and he has led this team to a somewhat impressive record early in the year.
The Knicks solidified the fact that they could be playoff bound this year by beating teams that are above .500 on the season. The most impressive win so far for the Knicks may have been the road win against the New Orleans Hornets.
If the Knicks want to stay in the race for the post season all year long they will need to win games against losing teams, like this battle set for Monday Night.
Oklahoma City Thunder at Chicago Bulls
The game of the night features the Thunder against the Bulls. The Bulls were excited to get a healthy Carlos Boozer back in the lineup, only to see the team struggle and get beaten badly by the powerhouse teams in the eastern conference. Now they are playing at home and will try to get back on the winning track against the Thunder.
The Thunder are led by possible MVP candidate Kevin Durant. The Thunder may be one of the younger teams in the NFL but they are a potential threat in the western conference. They still struggle on the road but a win against the Bulls would set them on the right path and give them team a victory to build on.
